Sandra Sue Southern

Sandra was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 17, 1958 to Dennis and Elizabeth Southern. Sandra attended Campbell High School and graduated in 1976.

Sandra was a devoted daughter to her parents and beloved sister to her brother, Dennis. Her love for them was immeasurable.

Sandra greatly enjoyed serving the Lord alongside them at Emmanuel Temple Church. Sandra was gifted in singing and playing the flute and clarinet. Sandra spent much of her youth and early adult years singing in gospel groups, sharing the love of the Lord with others.

Sandra was employed by the Royal Oak company for almost 37 years. Sandra enjoyed her years of service at Royal Oak. She especially enjoyed choosing her work anniversary gifts – rings and watches, which celebrated her love of jewelry.

Sandra was also the church secretary and treasurer at Emmanuel Temple Church for many years.

Sandra had a love of travel which she enjoyed along with her parents, Aunt Ann and Uncle Jack and her Aunt Genita. She enjoyed her many trips to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg most of all.

Sandra was an avid reader and also fondly loved her cats. Throughout her life, she enjoyed being a pet mom to Streak, Shadow, Tishma, Indie, Alfie, Angel, Samantha, Jasper and Trinket. They brought her much joy and great happiness.

Sandra was proceeded in death by her parents, Dennis and Elizabeth, her brother, Dennis, aka Denny, and grandparents Virgil and Lillie Southern and Hugh and Maud Camp. Sandra’s precious family is now reunited for eternity in heaven.

Sandra is survived by her remaining aunts and two uncles, numerous cousins and her Emmanuel Temple church family.

Our loss is Heaven‘s gain. Sandra will be greatly missed.

Services are being held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw, Georgia. Services include visitation on Wednesday, November 12, from 5 PM to 8 PM and funeral service on Thursday, November 13, at 12 PM. Interment immediately following at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Ave. NW., Marietta, GA.
