Sarah Marie Carter, age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Sarah was born on August 14, 1939 to the late Harvey and Lillian Pope.

Sarah worked for AT&T for 35 years as a dedicated plant assigner. In her free time, she spent it outdoors in her garden or walking. She loved spending time outside or reading. Sarah was an outgoing, kind, and caring person. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents - Harvey and Lillian Pope; and sisters - Gladys Rogers and Catherine Pittis. She is survived by her daughter - Melanie (Dave) Lis; sister - Doris Anderson; granddaughters - Heather and Holly Lis

The family will be having a graveside service to honor the life of Ms. Sarah Marie Carter on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 1pm at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Ga.
