Born September 27, 1932 in Notasulga, AL to Graham M. & Eulene Segrest, Sarah met and married Howard L. Washington. Sarah had a long and distinguished with Crestlawn Cemetery in Atlanta as an Office administrator. With 42 years’ experience at the cemetery, her retirement was never the end of her helping her co-workers, she often would be called to share her wealth of knowledge concerning Crestlawn and where someone loved one was laid to rest. Family, co-workers, and friends will fondly remember Sarah as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and of course a friend to all who met her.
Mrs. Washington is survived by her sons and daughter in laws - Michael and DeDe Washington & Joel T. and Lori Ann Washington; brother – Graham Segrest, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family on Thursday from 6 O’clock until 8 O’clock in the evening at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
