Scott Edward Silva

Scott Edward Silva, 34, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 14, 2026, following a sudden cardiac event. Born in Atlanta and raised in Marietta, Scott attended Kennesaw Mountain High School, where he was the lead snare drummer in the esteemed KMHS marching band. He was also a proud graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, where he was an active member of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. Scott spent his professional life first in global insurance and risk management, and then most recently in Mergers and Acquisitions with Silva Capital Solutions. He was also active with Chart Champions as a roundtable host, trader, and coach.

Scott’s wonderful sense of adventure and love of travel took him around the world, including a life-changing Semester at Sea and trips to dozens of countries on all but two continents. He also loved to read, particularly about history, and he had a keen interest in antiques. A caring, loving, and nurturing soul, Scott had a multitude of pets throughout his life, including dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, birds, and even two ferrets. He loved the outdoors and could often be found hiking, gardening, playing golf, or enjoying a leisurely weekend on the water with family and friends.

Scott is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Lizzy) May Silva (Danko); mother, Wanda Jean Silva; brother, Alan James Silva; in-laws, Kevin and Denise Kelly, Amanda Kelly, Tiffany Danko, Shane and Sarah Kelly, Maureen Kelly, and Brigid Kelly; along with a multitude of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and, of course, several cats and dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Silva; aunt Lisa Ziemke; and grandparents, Ralph Silva and James and Clara Carbaugh.

Even in his own death, Scott continued his lifelong spirit of giving, providing lifesaving and life-changing gifts to at least 11 people and their families through organ and tissue donation.

In his words: “I am focused on family, personal growth, and living a grounded life. I spend mornings in meditation, evenings in the garden, and weekends tending to the people and projects that matter most. I believe in disciplined risk-taking, showing up with intention, and building a life that reflects my values.”
