Mrs. Selma Chapman, age 91 of Acworth passed away on Sunday, July 3. Raised in Towns County, Mrs. Chapman was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Chapman of Acworth; also by 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 sons-in-law.
She is survived by her eight children: Alene Henson, Myrna Chambers, Barbara Reagan (Claude), Abbie Davis (Jerry), Mary Wills (Randy) and Ronnie Chapman (Tami) of Acworth; Betty King (Larry) of Marietta and Terry Chapman(Kelly) of Cartersville. Other survivors include her 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Arthur Shook of Young Harris.
The family will receive friends from 11 am-3 pm and 5 pm-9 pm on Wednesday, July 6 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 7 in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge with Rev. Stacey Nicholson, Rev. Gene Powell and Rev. Dan Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery, Acworth.
