

Mrs. Konecci was born to Charles LeRoy Dean and Dorothy Lavina Kreitzer Dean on September 17, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio.
A loving and generous wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Konecci was passionate about caring for others. She was known for her great smile and sense of humor. Mrs. Konecci enjoyed an active lifestyle and spent many hours walking or running. She also found great pleasure in working outdoors in her yard and spending time with neighborhood friends.
Mrs. Konecci had traveled extensively as she had lived in 17 different locations throughout her life settling in the Acworth, Georgia area 22 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Konecci were members St. Catherine’s of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Kennesaw for over 20 years.
Shirley Ann Konecci is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Jerry Konecci of Acworth, Georgia; sons, Stephen Rutherford of Largo, Florida and Sean Konecci of Miami Beach, Florida; daughter, Terri Little of New Braunfels, Texas; daughter-in-law, Cara Floyd Konecci and two grandchildren, Sean Little and Conner Konecci. Mrs. Konecci is also survived by siblings Dorothy Lee Mills, Kenneth Lawson, Leroy Lawson, Clarence Lawson, Sharon McCartney and Sharon Kay Lang.
Mrs. Konecci was cremated under the care of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the chapel at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. Interment will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Honey Creek Woodlands (a natural burial ground) at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia.
