Stephen "Steve" John Molmer Sr., age 89, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Steve was born November 15, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to Eva Kozubal Molmer and John Stephen Molmer. Steve was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 50 years and was involved in the Knights of Columbus. Steve had a vast professional career in finance and was a great provider for his family. Following his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital as a Chaplain's assistant for 25 years. He enjoyed gardening especially pulling weeds, cheering for the University of Georgia and Notre Dame, and spending time with his family. Steve was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
Steve is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alma Jo Terrill Molmer; his sons, Stephen John Molmer, Jr of Huntsville, Alabama; Joseph Craig Molmer (Karen) of Kennesaw, Georgia; Matthew Molmer (Candida) of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughter, Eva Joann Hildreth (Paul) of Acworth, Georgia; his grandchildren Shanie, Justin, Victoria, Chloe, Hayden, Isabella and one great-grandchild on the way.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, John Stephen Molmer; mother, Eva Kozubal Molmer; brother Joseph Molmer and his sister, Joan Wilson.
A visitation for Steve will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A rosary will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 at 7:30 PM. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St NW, Marietta, GA 30060. Steve will be laid to rest following the funeral mass at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064.
