Stephen Paul Ponichtera, age 63 passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024. He was born in Tampa, Florida on July 29, 1961, to the late Edmund and Angie Jo Ponichtera. Stephen served as a Deacon at Saint Clare of Assisi and Saint Catherine for many years. He graduated from the University of South Florida, and earned his degree in education. Stephen taught for many years before becoming a computer programmer and then later serving his church community. He enjoyed reading many religious books and spending time with his family and friends.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janet Ponichtera, son; Nicholas Ponichtera, daughter; Kimberly LePage, grandson; Lyle Joseph LePage, brothers; Edmund Ponichtera and Robert Ponichtera, and niece; Jennifer Ponichtera.

A rosary for Stephen will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 6301 Cedarcrest Rd, Acworth, Georgia 30101, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
