Sue truly loved the Lord with all her heart, and that love touched everyone around her. Her biggest passion was worship in any form — teaching, preaching, and playing the piano. She was also a gifted writer and songwriter, penning her own music that spoke to the power of worshiping through trials. Her faith was not shaken by life's storms but strengthened through them, and her songs reflected that unwavering devotion.
Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren and was so deeply beloved by her family that multiple family members proudly carry her name.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Earl and Mary Joyce Welch; her brother, David Welch; and her son-in-law, Randy Martin. She is survived by her husband, Ken Bruce; her children Karen, Jim (Amy), Rebecca (Josh), and Ricky (Lisa); step-children Bobby (Marjorie) and Robin (Todd); 13 beloved grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Sue will be held at New Beginnings Methodist Church, 2975 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152. All are encouraged to wear jewel tones in honor of Sue. Date is March 7th, 2026.
