So sorry to learn of Tom’s passing.  He meant a lot to me and to my son’s professional career.  With Tom’s key influence, my son was propelled into the energy industry following his graduation from James Madison University.  My son has enjoyed a most successful career to this day.  Thank you and God bless and keep you, Tom Linardi.  And to the Linardi family, my sincerest condolences.

I miss you more than I can even put into words! You were always a fantastic role model and a wonderful grandfather. Last year, as rough as it was, was a gift. After days of going through treatment or surgery, you always loved to give me a call and see how I was doing. You also never ceased to offer anything you could possibly do to get me through the rough times. I wish I could tell you how much those calls really meant to me. They made me smile when times were bad and lifted me up when I was down. It is remarkable how greatly you have changed my life and the lives of all those around you in such a short time. I am so thankful that I had that last week with you and that I had the chance to talk with you while we were working together in the basement.  Knowing now that those were our last days together makes the memory even more special.  You were a man who was larger than life to me, one I could look up to,  and I can only hope to live up to your name.   I am so thankful for our last week together.  In my mind it was a special time and never knowing that it was our last week or day together makes it that much more special. It is still very hard to believe that I can't reach out and pick up the phone or that these are my last words for you. To sum up what you meant to me or what I think of the future without my father or my children's grandfather is just not possible and even harder to do in a few short sentences or paragraphs here. The man that you were and are still to me was larger than life and in that I hope I can live up to your name. If I had a few more minutes of time with you I would want to thank you for everything you have done for us and thank you for just being you, our Dad, my only Dad.

I always enjoyed the long talks at sunrise during the summer vacations at the beach house. It's only now that I wish I could recall the names of the funny people in your stories so that I can pass them on to Caidy.  Your sage advice so full of wisdom and concern was always respected and sought after.  You are missed whole heartedly in our hearts and home.  In Caidy's five year old words..."I miss my Poppy".  And with these words we sigh and say "we do too CJ, we do too...".

....and I know I will see you again....I am lucky enough to see you every time I look in the mirror, whenever I look at Alex and Ryan...you live on through us, and I will cherish that every day until I am with you again in Heaven.

I think this is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. I really don't know if there are words to describe what you mean to me and how your absence has left a huge, gaping hole in my heart that will never go away.
You have always been my hero. I idolized you - put you on a pedestal and I can honestly say that you have never let me down.
You taught me how to be strong and independent, how to be forgiving and compassionate, but the thing that I am most grateful for is that I learned how to love and to be a parent from you. If I do half as good with Alex and Ryan as you did with me, then they will be the luckiest boys on Earth.
The small things are what I am going to miss the most - your laugh, your silly jokes, seeing you at Alex's games, your grilled sausages - the list could go on forever.
I don't want to say good-bye. I want to climb on your lap and eat a bowl of vanilla ice cream covered in Hershey's syrup. I want you to wake me up in the mornings by rubbing my back and bringing me a coke. I want to see you swimming in the pool with Alex. I want to hear you telling me stories about your big Italian family to distract me from my anxiety over my c-section with Ryan.
However, I know I can't have what I want and it shatters my heart into a million pieces.
So instead of saying good-bye, I'm going to make a promise to take you with me. I promise you will be with me for every day for the rest of my life - for the big things like weddings, graduations, holidays, the boys' sporting events as well as the little things like having dinner at your house, or when the boys drive me "cucaloochie", and even just hearing a song or watching a tv show that I know you loved.
I hope and pray that I have made you as proud and honored to have me as a daughter, as I am to have had you as a father. You are truly the most amazing man I have ever known and I love you more than words can say.
Please watch over me, Daddy, and I know I'll see you again someday.

Poppy was an angel sent from hevan. I will greatly miss him. He was always there for me when I needed him. He never missed one of my soccer games and always swam with me. I will never forget him. He was greatly loved by so many people. I love you. your little Peanut

I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find the right words to honor such a wonderful man.  It's as if the words don't even exist yet… 
 
Most people use the term “in-law” in a negative way.  For me, it is and always has been a blessing.  I feel like the luckiest man for having you as my father-in-law.  You are truly amazing.  A once-in-a-lifetime miracle.  I am just so honored that I got to be a part of that miracle.  I learned so many life lessons from you without even realizing I was being taught.  You had many different roles as husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  I can honestly say that you performed each role perfectly.  The way you loved your family, and the kindness you showed to everyone was incredible to see. 
 
I won't say that I miss you, because I know you are still with all of us.  I still see your smile, and I still hear your laughter… and it warms my heart.

Few people are so lucky to have someone so extraordinary in their life. Someone so full of love for their family, and a family that loves and admires them more than words can say.  All of my memories are full of love and laughter  with you , and big hugs.  I know everyday of my life will be spent missing you, it's impossible to fill a hole that big. It's hard to believe that you left us almost a month ago. I miss you so much that it's unbelievable. To me, you were more than just my grandfather. You were my role model, my mentor, and my friend. Even though you are no longer with us on Earth, you are with me every day. I saw it for the first time when I saw the double rainbow in the sky the day after you passed away. You will be with me as a finish my senior year in college and enter into the real world. Even though I can no longer ask for your advice, I will always look to you, as my guardian angel, for guidance in the decisions I make. My heart aches for all of you as you deal with the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, and brother.   I loved Tom dearly and will miss him always but I cannot think of him without a smile as the memories of time spent with him growing up and over the years with him and Linda were always fun.   He knew how to have a good time and he enjoyed life so much.   He was certainly a rich and happy man with the family he built with his one true love -- Linda -- what a wonderful life.    I have never seen a more touching tribute than the one given by his beloved grandchidren and I know he was smiling down on all of you that day and will continue to be with you everyday.  He was such a major influence on me when I was growing up  -- a big brother and friend and he was always there for me.   He was generous, loving and larger than life to those who knew him and loved him.   I am so grateful to have had him in my life.

Tom was a wonderful person. Even though it's been over 40 years since I've seen him, I was happy to have known him. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear the news of Tom's passing.  I worked with Tom from the very beginning of my career with Chevron and there was many a time that he took me aside and 'coached me' unofficially- he really cared about all of us 'kids.' He knew when we needed the voice of reason to keep us on the right track.  I still think of his advice over 20 years later.

I can still hear his laugh in my head to this day and often turn when I hear a similar laugh - he made such a large impact on so many.  His big heart and giving nature just made our Chevron family so much stronger.  

My thoughts and prayers go to all of his friends and family and my heart is full of wonderful memories.  That laugh will live on and on...

It was a lovely service paying tribute to such a great man.  I will miss my friend and hero.

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. As your family mourns, I hope you are all comforted by the many wonderful memories of Tom that friends and family will share with you during this time. I'm sure there are many. 
For me, I remember Tom's huge laugh. It was one of a kind, as he was. I worked with Tom in Atlanta over 20 years ago now and was quite young at the time. He once took me aside before a major re-org and asked me if I was ready for a challenge, but had confidence in me that I could take it on. That kind of fatherly guidance is something I appreciate to this day. 
I think we are all fortunate to have had Tom in our lives. May the sound of his laughter live on in all of our hearts.

We loved and admired Tommy very much.
I've often heard my sister Chris and my cousin Susan refer to Tommy as a big brother. Seems he used to look out for them especially during their teenage years. I was a few years younger and not as close but I can still remember Tom coaching me in football when I was about 14 yrs old. He would often talk to me on the sidelines and offer words of advice and encouragement. Perhaps not as strongly, but I always felt that fatherly/big brother connection from Tom as well. I would imagine that all of Tom's cousins have similar stories and sentiments because that who Tommy was... A great man.

Poppy was more to me than a grandfather he was my role model, a father figure, and a friend. I know he is in a better place now and that he is looking down on me each and every day.  Even if my Poppy is not physically in front of me I know he will always be with me through memories. I do not have a doubt in my mind that I will see my grandfather again, but until then we will just have to do our best to be strong and get through the hard times. My grandfather was an incredible man in more words then I can express. He knows that we all loved him and how happy and lucky we were to have a grandfather like him. I love you Poppy.

Linda, I am so, so sorry.  I know there are no words that can console you right now but I know how much Tom loved you and your family.  Just watching him interact with you, his children and his grandchildren and looking through the pictures on this site, anyone can see the genuine happiness on his face.  You and Tom built a beautiful family together and sadly, he's been taken away from all of you far too soon.  His life here on earth was spent right where he wanted to be, Linda--with you!

Tom was loved and respected by so many other people too.  I'm so glad that Tom encouraged us to start a family reunion during your Ocean City vacation.  This gave all of us an opportunity to not only spend time with you and Tom but to really get to know your beautiful family.  Everyone looked forward to this week at the beach.  It was a special time for all of us.

Tommy Rose from an old Post WW2 neighborhood in Balto, MD amongst the widest of backgrounds and wildest of all we knew back then, he was and is a Hero to those of us who knew him and and grew up with him, he was  a flag to follow in all he did...A lil bit of tommy, I believe is in all of us thanks to knowing him.. those knowing him then I'm sure would agree

Miss Linda, Angie, Terri, Don, and the rest of the family, we were so saddened to hear of Mr. Tom's passing.  Over the past 11-years that I have been a part of the Henry family, I have so many fond memories that include the Linardi's.  For instance, at Jim and Angie's wedding, Mr. Tom got such a kick out of our Trey and his sunglasses!  He thought he was a “cool dude” carrying that ring-bearer's pillow with his cousin Brennan…both were decked out in their wedding attire and Trey was sportin' his trademark sunglasses.  I was sharing this with Trey the other day, and he had a good giggle from me pulling out a picture of him at the age of 3 wearing his shades at their wedding.
I remember another time that Trey and I ran into Mr. Tom in the Wal-Mart parking lot two summers ago.  Trey had just come from baseball practice and Mr. Tom was curious as to why Trey was playing ball in the middle of the summer.  Trey proudly explained that he was playing all-stars and staying very busy with practice and fundraising.  Mr. Tom reached in his wallet and pulled out his last $40 cash.  He shook Trey's hand and said, “Good Luck!  Go out there and have fun!”  
But, I think my favorite memory of Mr. Tom would be from this past spring.  My father, youngest son Brady, and me were having lunch at Five Guys.  Mr. Tom had just sat down to enjoy his lunch, and I slipped up behind him and reached my hand in to grab a handful of his fries.  The look on his face was absolutely priceless!  We all got such a giggle out of it.  Then, the three of us joined him for lunch and had a great visit talking about Alex & Tristan's baseball team.  
Mr. Tom was such a genuinely nice gentleman.  He was always upbeat, had a hand to extend to my husband, a high-five for my sons, and a warm hug for me.  It was always so obvious to me that you were his treasure… his Linda, his children, and his grandchildren.  He always seemed to beam with pride!  I will truly miss his warm, toothy, handsome smile.  He honestly lit up any room that he was in.  
My thoughts and prayers remain with you and your family.  I know that Mr. Tom is in a good place now, but I'll miss his smile and witty personality.  I'm lucky to have known Mr. Tom and will always treasure the fun memories I hold near and dear.  With warm hugs and sympathy,

I've known Tom all his living days, from the time he was born, his visits with Poppy, my uncle Leo, when he bought his first car and JT took out and a loan and Tommy paid for it himself, he came to my house every month till the loan was paid. From the start of his job with Hoffbert's to his last job with Chevron. After he moved I always enjoyed his visits to Balto when we would have a couple of beers and catch up on things. Our days when we played golf, and he was a pretty good golfer. And last but not least The last4-5 years our week in Ocean City. I was able to get to know the whole family and spend time with them. All these times were fond memories. His father was my first cousin, but I always considered Tom, my first cousin too. In addition to familty, Tommy was a great friend, I really liked that guy. He was a straight shooter, a really nice man. He was a good father, good grandfather, good husband, just a reaL special person. I never heard anyone say a bad word about him. Linda he loved you dearly. Terri. Donald and Angie, he was truly proud of you all and your children. Tom, we are going to miss you a lot, but you  have left us with many fond memories. Goodbye and I loved you dearly.
