Victor was born in Lahore, Pakistan on August 13, 1949. He was the youngest of six siblings and was trained as a nurse as well as an automotive mechanic. After he completed his training, he and his wife moved to a remote village in Saudi Arabia where all his skills were put to good use. He was the only medical professional for miles and was affectionately referred to as “doc-torr” by the locals. He also used his mechanical skills to fix the village electrical generator, as well as radios, watches, cars, and all manner of broken gadgets. He worked hard all his life to provide the best opportunities he could for his family, which ultimately lead him to move his family to the United States.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His greatest joy in recent years was spoiling his grandchildren by making the World’s Best Pancakes and a steady stream of halwa (he was a great cook!). He taught all four grandkids to walk and to say nana (grandfather) first!
He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a passionate singer of hymns, although frequently off key! He was known for his lively personality and keen sense of humor. He truly had a joyful and generous heart. He would never say no to someone in need, whether family, friend, neighbor, or stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who encountered him in life.
