We lost our dear husband and father, Warren Allan Ragsdale, to a car accident on June 25th. He had just turned 60. He celebrated his recent birthday with his family and a trip to Wrigley field. He loved his three sons so much and was thrilled to have Allison join our family. He was a Dad first and foremost.
Warren’s sharp intellect and infectious personality made him a magnetic leader in every arena. He is a graduate of Wheeler High School, the University of Georgia, the Georgia State MBA program, and received a business certificate from Columbia University School of Business. As a teenager, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. While at the University of Georgia, he served as president of his college fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta. He then had a wonderful career with BellSouth where he retired as the Director of Government Affairs. Further, Warren served as the President and Chair of the Board of Trustees of Leadership Georgia. But above all, he loved spending time with his family and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.
He joined his father Hugh Ragsdale and mother Betty Ragsdale in Heaven on the 25th. He leaves behind his devoted wife Terri and his 3 sons and daughter in law, Kyle, Cole, Kevin and Allison. He also leaves his brother and friend, Steve Ragsdale and his wife, Jennifer, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving family and friends Friday, June 29th from 7-9pm at Winkenhofer Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 2:00pm at Northstar Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Warren to Northstar Church at northstar.org/giving or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at jdrf.org.
