He was born to Robert Tague and Marilyn Tague on August 5th, 1957 in Waukegan, IL. He grew up in Illinois and New York, moving to Georgia in 1973 where he lived until his death.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Robert Tague.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Cathy (Popham) Tague of Kennesaw, Georgia; children, Joey (Jenny) Tague of Phenix City, Alabama, Tori (Jonathan) White of Dallas, Georgia; mother, Marilyn Tague of Cocoa Beach, Florida; two grandsons, Jack Tague and James Tague of Phenix City, Alabama; granddaughter, Jemma Tague of Phenix City, Alabama; siblings, Vicki Lyons, Sandra Dye, Bruce Tague; several nieces and nephews and his special little buddy, “Rat Dog”.
Wayne worked as an auto painter for many years before joining the staff at Barber Middle School in Acworth, Georgia. Wayne retired in 2019. He was an avid “junker,” roaming the roads in search of yard sales, and estate sales. Saturday and Sunday were his flea market days, where he would sell (and did some buying too).
Wayne enjoyed his time volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift store.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made to St. Vincent de Paul at 2722 Summers Street Kennesaw, Georgia 30144.
