A memorial service will be held 5:00pm Friday, May 10, 2013 from the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, GA. Billy was a deputy with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office for over five years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Tavares; and is survived by his father, Joseph Tavares; son, Drew Tavares; daughter, Eryn Tavares; brothers, Bruce Tavares, Brian Tavares; sister, Patricia Ball; cousin, David Sanson; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2013 from 4pm until 5pm with a reception following the service from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
