William G. “Bill” Duckwitz, 76, of Kennesaw, died Sunday, August 23, 2015. Funeral service is Friday, August 28, 1pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Bill Kellerman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park.
Mr. Duckwitz was retired from the US Air Force where he piloted the C – 130 and C – 141 aircraft and obtained the rank of Colonel. He served our country honorably for 32 years. Bill practiced his faith at Grace Church at Town Center for many years, where many of his friends still attend. His hobbies included Ham Radio Operator, an avid shot gunner, water aerobics, and the one he was most proud of was being the founder of the Monaco website which offered assistance to motor coach owners with technical support.
Survivors include his son – Randy Duckwitz of Marietta, daughters – Ellen L. Duckwitz and Seliece A. Duckwitz both of Odessa, TX, his sister – Dorothy Berry of Detroit, and longtime friend - Betty Mozley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 – 9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or cancer.org. You may also make donations to Grace Church at Town Center, 3005 Ring Rd Kennesaw, GA 30144 in memory of Mr. Duckwitz.
