William Jay Taylor Jr. was born on February 18, 1976, and passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 50. A resident of Douglasville, Georgia, William will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who had the privilege to know him.
William served as a United States Marine, carrying forward a steadfast sense of duty and commitment. In his working life, he was known for being hardworking at the R.E. Michel Company, approaching each day with reliability and quiet determination.
Above all, William loved his son dearly, holding family close with a devotion that remained at the center of his life.
William also found meaning and enjoyment in the simple, enduring pleasures of time outdoors and time well spent. Whether bowling, kayaking, fishing, or hunting, these interests reflected an appreciation for both companionship and the calm strength of nature.
William is preceded in death by his father; William Jay Taylor, and grandparents; Ken and Rose Taylor, Dwight and Joan Ulman.
William is survived by his mother; Barbara Taylor, son; Jacob K Taylor, sister; Joanne M Taylor, and nephew; Devin Taylor.
Visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, on September 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Georgia National Cemetery -Canton GA, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114, on September 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
