August 3rd, 1942 - November 21st, 2020
It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Beloved mother and grandmother Alice Sinclair (Jabush).
With her children by her side our Mom passed away peacefully at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in the early hours of November 21st, 2020.
Alice is survived by her Children Debbie (Michael) McBride, Laureen (Ken) Smith, and Tim Sinclair. Her grandchildren Rechelle Smith and Daniel Smith, sister in law Jeanne Sinclair, brother in laws Denis Caron and Ross Mitchell, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Elsie Jabush, sisters Grethal (Herb) Irving, Irene (Stewart) McCartney, Eunice (Alfie) Alcock and Dianna (Dodie) Caron, Alvin (Marsha) Jabush and Linda Mitchell. Father of her Children George Sinclair, father and mother in law Hugh and Kay Sinclair, brother and sister in law Fred and Lorna Sinclair, brother in law Raymond Sinclair.
Mom was born in Snowflake, Manitoba. Moving with her family to Kenora in mid 1950s. Mom enjoyed working retail for many years, being a people person. Mom had an incredible sense of humour and wit and loved to laugh. To Mom, time spent with family was worth every second. She immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mom’s much loved pass time was getting together with her sisters and baking in their Mother’s kitchen. But her all-time favorite was the road trips with her sisters and their chauffeur Ross and more recently with her BFF Marg Moncrief.
A special thanks to Dr. Noack and the Palliative Care Team along with the Nurses on the 2nd floor at (LWDH) who took special care of Mom’s needs with respect and compassion. We would also like to thank Mom’s special angels Joan and Gerry Green and nephew Kevin Mitchell for all that you have done over the years. We cannot thank you enough.
We were truly blessed to have such a special mother. A mother holds her children’s hands for a while and their Hearts forever.
We are planning a Celebration of Life at a later date. If you wish, in lieu of flowers the family asks that Memorial donations be forwarded to Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
