A resident of Grassy Narrows First Nation passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital
She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Keesick, her parents Evelyn Land, Henry Anthony Land, her sisters Mary Audrey Assin, Delores Land, Bernice Land and brother Brian Land. As well as her grandparents Maryann Keewatin, George W. Keewatin, nieces Cheryl Assin and Melodie Assin.
She is survived by her daughter Tina Rhonda Assin-Noon (John), her grandchildren Andrea Loon (Jeff), Kambria Loon (Tyson), Trajan Loon, Paxton Noon, Josey Noon, Reese Pelly, Harmony Pelly, Alexander Pahpasay, Zoey Pahpasay, Lucious Pahpasay, Isabel Pelly, Hope Pelly, Brad Swain, Pearl Pahpasay-Land and Skylar Pelly and great grandchildren Stedman Loon, Caio Loon and Khaydyn Mandamin. Her siblings Patrick Land Sr., Laura Lee Land, Jackie Swain, Floyd Assin, Fred (Freddy) Assin, Gary Assin, Stanley Assin, Pauline Oteskan, Chad Oteskan (Miranda), Kathy Land, Ann Pelly (Ted Assin). As well as nieces and nephews Jocelyn Pelly, Selena Pelly (Dana), Carole Pelly (Russell), Patrick Land Jr., Shelley Land, Tarra Land, Albert Necanapenace, Matilda Necanapenace, Bryce Land Jr., Juanita Land, Brenna land, Denise Land, Leonard Land, Trisha Land, Victoria Assin, Nathan Assin, Valerie Land, Burton Land, Olivia Land, Becky Pahpasay, as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Wake service will begin on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ronald Keesick’s residence. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial to follow.
