

Carolyn is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Cheryl Carpenter (Dut Kuong) and her grandchildren, Angel, Meliina, Ayen, Kimberly, Achuol and Domonic. Her siblings Celina Blackhawk (Gerald Lewis), Jolene Blackhawk-Keeley, Holly (Vince Jacob), Rita Carpenter, Judy Gott, Gerald Monroe, Elizabeth Koetesky, Cheryl and Leana Leask, niece and nephews Jamie and Renita Henry and Travis Cameron. She will also be greatly missed by all her family and friends too numerous to mention.
She is predeceased by her adoptive and biological family, fathers Allan Carpenter, John Leask, mothers, Edith Carpenter and Mary Louise Blackhawk. She is also predeceased by grandparent’s Alfred & Sarah Leask. Aunt/uncles: Hughie Leask, Garfield Leask, Elizabeth Garrow (James Sr.), Donald Leask. Numerous aunties & uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carolyn committed her life to ensure both her daughters had a fulfilling life. Carolyn will be remembered by her deepest love of being a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Angel and Meliina, Achuol, Domonic, Ayen and Kimberly. She will be greatly missed.
Carolyn loved to sing, attend church services, she also loved her music and read scriptures from the King James Bible and had a strong faith in Christianity and FOOD! She strongly believed in a living a good LIFE.
Carolyn irresistible smile was always a welcome greeting. On her best days, she was known to easily make friends as she was bubbly and enjoyable to be with. She loved to do journal writing and took a lot of pride her personal appearance, she was a beautiful, vibrant young woman who was very smart and had such a reflective memory.
The wake service will start on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Whitedog Community Hall. The wake services will be carried throughout the day and evening where family and friends can gather in loving honor of Carolyn. Funeral Services will follow Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00pm with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating. A Celebration meal will begin at 3:30pm. Cremation will follow and she will be laid to rest with her daughter April Lynn Carpenter in Brookside Cemetery located at 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
