She is remembered by her children Wayne Karst, Dillan-Jean Karst, Tobie-Lynn Karst and Grace Mowe as well as her treasured mother Jean Poitras, her siblings Damyn Poitras and Paulette Hamilton.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Kim Karst and her brother Carl Mingo. She will also be remembered by many more family and friends near and far.
Carol was born in Winnipeg and moved to Kenora, nestled in and started her family. She worked at many local businesses and was a presence that was felt wherever she went. Carol brought love and fire to every interaction and was the first to give honest advice. She fiercely gave her all to those she loved.
A small family service was held at Lake of the Woods Cemetery in Kenora where she joined her husband and they now rest together.
