With her family by her side. It was with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Charlotte Pauline Boulet (Lacroix) on Tuesday January 7th, 2025.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Paul Boulet. Her parents Rose-Alba and Laureat Lacroix, son-in-law William (Bill) Kinger, grandson-in-law Ryan Shaw and grandchildren David Neufeld, Colin Boulet, Drew Boulet, as well as brother-in-laws Lawrence Laplante, Gerard Troie, Gerard Lacroix, Yvon Leduc, Jean-Nil Blanchet, Jean-Paul Roy, Michel Piuze and Serge Tanguay. Father-in-law Albert and Marie-Louise Boulet, dear daughter-in-law of Benoit and Ida Boulet, Willie Boulet, Yvette and Fred, Gisele and Maurice, Gislaine and Andre, Isabelle and Nelson, Benoit St.Laurent, Jean Paul Couture.
Mom is survived by her five children Sylvie Boulet Kinger, Vance Boulet (Christine), Daniel Boulet, Gary Boulet and Donald Boulet, twelve grandchildren, Mike Neufeld (Nicole), Nancy Neufeld, Bridgette McCorkell (Steve), Nicole Chaput (Adam), Adrienne Shaw, Meranda Albrecht and Chase Boulet, Mathew Boulet (Corine), Kristyn Boulet, Christopher Boulet (Chantelle), Julianna Boulet and Gabrielle Boulet, Sister-in-law Pauline Boulet, Denise St.Laurent and Orietta Couture.
Mom was born in the Thetford Mines, Quebec on January 30, 1931. Mom was one of nine girls Gaetane Laplante, Gisele Troie, Pauline Lacroix, Renaude Leduc, Pierette Blanchet, Lisa Roy, Francine Piuze, Renee Tanquay, Daughter-in-law of the late Albert and Marie-Louise Boulet.
Mom met the love of her life Paul Boulet in Thetford Mines, Quebec and were married on July 9, 1949 for a blissful 65 years. Eventually set down roots in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. In her earlier years was a school teacher in Thetford Mines, then after moving to the Sault continued her teaching career as a substitute at Saint Paul School. After raising her family mom worked at Canada Safeway and manager of the bar and grill at the North Crest Bowling lanes. Mom loved gardening, downhill skiing, bowling, cooking, baking and especially cleaning!!! As a family we enjoyed camping, exploring and travelling. Both mom and dad left us with a lifetime of beautiful memories. We were all blessed to have such wonderful parents.
Mom and dad were both active members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 in Sault Ste. Marie. Mom also an active member of the ladies Auxiliary Branch 25 for many years and very active members of the colour party, also participating in many parades in Canada and the United States. Both mom and dad, family and friends shared many good times socializing and dancing in the club room. Mom and dad enjoyed over fifty years of travelling to Kenora to visit family. Then in 2018 after moving to Kenora mom transferred her Legion membership to Branch 12.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pinecrest Home for the Aged for the wonderful care they provided to our mom, Special thanks to you Dr. Wiebe, Dr. B.Kyle, Barb , Special visits by Sandy Moss, April Beaudry and all Unit one staff. The ladies auxiliary of Pinecrest for their assistance. Special thank you to Catherine Giroux for all her help through our difficult time.
Special thank you to John and Marie Marecki for 6 decades of their friendship, love and support. We thank you.
Celebration of life will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Service will at 11:00am with Rev. Catherine Giroux officiating, followed by a luncheon.
