

Cheryl Ann Bird
(August 10, 1976-February 4, 2018)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cheryl Ann Bird at Lake of the Woods District Hospital on Sunday February 4, 2018 at the age of 41. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband Corey Bird of 16 years, her sons, Chaz, Chaise and Joanin, her mother, Joan Ledoux, brother, Jeremy Ledoux, sisters, Blanche Ledoux, Starla Ledoux (Clayton), her nieces Samantha Councillor, Shaylene, Keirston, Christian (Sinclair), Jeremy Jr. Ledoux, Marcel, Shelby, Lexie (Ledoux), Sienna Prince. Uncles; Marvin Sinclair, Paul, Elvis, Chuck Ledoux, Aunts; Rosalie, Esther, Linda (John), and Donna Ledoux. Too many cousins to mention that loved her dearly.
She is pre-deceased by her father Mervin William Ledoux, Grandmother Margaret Ledoux, Grand Parents Joseph and Mary Sinclair, Uncles; Alfred, Edgar, George and Richard Sinclair, Aunts Louise Sinclair and Grace Chartrand.
Cheryl (Tee Dee) was born in Kenora on August 10, 1976 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. She grew up in Washagamis Bay. As a child, she enjoyed going cone picking and blueberry picking with her father, mother and siblings. She loved swimming and would swim all day if she could. She was always such a happy child and was not scared of anything. She always had a way of making people feel better with her funny jokes and quirky ways.
Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She had shared so much love and affection towards her children, her nieces and nephews. She held a special relationship and bond with each and every one of them. She touched their hearts with her tremendous love and kindness.Loved her 3 boys very much and husband. Loving mother she was so kind. She loved movies, work, getting her nails done, always shopping for her family being a mother and most important she cared about us , she was so kind to everyone in her life. We love her so much and we are miss her.
She attended Yellowquill college where she attained her CAFM (Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager) designation. She also served her community as Counsellor in 2011 to 2013 and was always committed to her community.
She married her husband, Corey Bird, in Sept of 2001. Together they had 3 sons, Chaz, Chaise and Joanin. She loved to spend time with her boys and loved them unconditionally. She enjoyed spending her time watching movies with her family and shopping for her boys.
She enjoyed spending time with her kids, baking, getting her nails done, spending time with family, shopping, travelling, and meeting new people. She was very outgoing and warm and had an amazing effect on people. She had a big heart and was very generous to people who needed help and would go out of her way to accommodate them. She was a very strong woman and demonstrated great resiliency in adverse circumstances. She was a shining light and will be deeply missed.
A wake will be held Thursday February 8th, 2018 starting at 5:00 pm until Friday February 9th, 2018. Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 10th, 2018 at 10:00 am.
Interment to follow at Washagamis Bay with a luncheon to follow at Travelodge Banquet hall.
The pallbearers will be Jeremy Jr. Ledoux, Kristopher Chartrand, Evans Chartrand, Verlin Penner, Jason Cherry, Jerry Sinclair and Clayton Prince.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Ledoux, Marcel Ledoux, Marvin Sinclair, Paul Ledoux and Fabian Vaughn.
