Daniel Schram

Dan leaves behind his wife of 42 years Margaret and sons Jason and Michael. He also leaves behind his brother David (Norine) and their children Zach (Lauren) & Erica.

He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, based in Winnipeg, Toronto, Florida, Wisconsin and beyond. Dan had family and friends everywhere he went.

He is predeceased by his parents Grace and Lawrence Schram.

He was born on April 24, 1959, in Kenora, Ontario. Dan lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and deep love for those around him. He was known for his constant jokes and contagious smile, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dan devoted much of his life to his family. He was always available to coach his sons’ sports teams, take the family on a road trip and tackle any project that the family home required. Dan spent 44 years with Margaret by his side. They travelled the world, conquered any challenge together and truly enjoyed every moment of raising their children together.

Dan was well known and loved by his community, he was always willing to lend his helpful hands to any friends who needed it. Dan was extremely proud of his work, spending over 30 years at the Ministry of Transportation, followed by several years with Shubh Engineering. He found his engineering careers extremely rewarding and all who worked with him will deeply miss him.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at 1:00pm. With a reception to follow at Minis Hall.
