Dayton Kavanaugh, born December 26, 1985. Dayton was born at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario. He lived in Naotkamegwanning First Nation with his mother Rosanne & Uncle Bruce Kavanaugh. Dayton passed away July 10, 2011
Dayton is survived by his mother Rosanne, brother Lavern (Loranda), sister Bonita (Royden) and girlfriend Misty Blackhawk. His nephews Isaiah & Deacon, nieces Elyse Liyah (his princess), Tiyana & Dominika, uncles Francis (Betty), Don, Bruce, George, Terry (Debbie), Amos (Barb) & Norman (Anne), auntie Luanne, Vivian (James), Yvonne (James), Donna, Lorna (Gilbert), Cecilia and numerous cousins too many to mention and his best friends Cody Crow and Wendell Tom.
Dayton is predeceased by his Kokum & Papa, Isaac & Agnes Paypompee, Kokomis Emily Tom, Uncle Tom Paypompee Jr., Aunts Clara Namaypoke and Mavis Mandamin.
Dayton was an all around happy, fun-loving, outgoing, individual who loved playing golf, but especially loved his golf clubs who he often referred to as his “babies”. Dayton was always joking around, no matter the situation. Making people smile and laugh. He took pride in his appearance, often referring himself to ‘Denzel’. Dayton always made himself available for his nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him. Dayton will always be remembered but never forgotten.
Wake Services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 am Roseanne Kavanaugh’s residence at Whiitefish Bay First Nations.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 15, 2011 at 11:00 at Rose Kavanaugh’s residence at Whitefish Bay First Nations.
