With loving memories and heavy hearts our families announces the passing of Destiny Rose Skead at the age of 24. She was cherished by her devoted parents, Brenda Oshie (Aaron) and Ken Skead (Jolin) and her soulmate and partner, Maverick Blackhawk. She also leaves behind her family who adored her. Sisters: Aileen (Gaylord), Erin (Arlin), Cherokee (Thomas), Ashanti, Tracy, Misty and Brothers: Royden (Bonita) and Dylan. Nieces and Nephews: Gage, Rylene, Aden, Dominika, Tiyana, Liyah, Tobias, Tyrick, Avery, Abrey, Ellie. Maternal Aunts: Lorna (Robert), Darlene and Dora. Uncles: James, Bill, Byron (Christina), Carey (Birdie) and Cousins: Michelle, Bobby, Calvin, Jordan, Byron Jr., Angelina, Farrah, April, Precious, James, Gemise, Peyton, Evan, Tyson, Chivonne, Sherry, Sheena and Lavern. Paternal Aunts: Rose (Fraser), Karen (Allan), lrene (Donnie), Linda and Debbie (Dennis). Cousins: David, Nathan, Jeremiah, Dawn, Myron, Kyle, Rachel, Allie, Felicia, Sheldon, Terou, Billy, Roxanne, Emma, Linda, and Patricia, great Aunt (Kokum), Mary and Stan Wesley.

She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents, Eva and Jim Oshie, cousins, Evannah, Kyla and Taras. Her paternal grandparents, Emma and Roy Skead, cousins, Brucie, Howie, Veronica, Rhianna and her uncles, Oscar and Billy and aunts, Cecilia, Veronica.

Destiny had an infectious passion for golf, beading and doodling. Destiny treasured her family and had a loyal and generous spirit. A special miigwetch goes out to her dearest family, relatives and friends who were with her to the very end, to Lulu Blackhawk, and also kitchi miigwetch to Wauzhushk Onigum Foundation for your generosity and support as she struggled with her illness.

Wake Services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 starting at noon at Northwest Angle #33 Community Hall. Traditional Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Northwest Angle #33 Community Hall.

Pallbearers will be: Sammy Paypompee, Mario Gauthier, Kelsey Blackhawk, Josh Copenace, David Skead, Jeremiah McDonald, James Oshie, Byron Oshie.
