It is with broken hearts we say goodbye to our sister, mother and nanny ‘Dot’ Kufflick.
Born to Pearl and Irvin (farmer) Lawlis, March 23, 1939 in Kenora, Ontario.
She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years John (Bud) Kufflick.
Survived by her three children Robert (Adele), Glen, Jody and four grandchildren Stephen, Johnathan, Mitchell and Ceana, her two sisters Patsy and Evelyn (Peter). As well as many nieces and nephews and special family friends Sharon and Grant. Dot loved life, she loved working at the Credit Union and she made many long-lasting friendships while there, Dorothy loved going out to the camp and hosting or attending the many events the river crew gathered for. She loved her grandkids like nothing else and every moment spent with them.
Dot was a fun-loving spirit, loved music, dancing and looking at old photographs or just sitting, talking to the neighbors on the porch.
We wish to thank palliative care nurse Karen Scott, the Doctors and staff at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre as well as all the staff on the second and third floor at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital involved in her care, especially Wiebe and Wehner.
At Dots request there will be no service but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Please no flowers, if you would like you may make a donation to a charity of one’s choice.
“But we remember now in love, your life from start to end, and were just glad we know you, as mother, and as friend” –author unknown
