Ernest Gordon (Gordie) Staple passed away on Friday September 17, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on March 10, 1951, in Russell, Manitoba to Albert and Alice Staple, he is survived by his children Johnathan and Candace, and grandson Cohen, sisters Susan Mather and Donna (Dave) Tkachyk, brothers Billy and Allen (Kelly) and numerous nieces and spouses. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother-in-law, David Mather.
Gordie was a carpenter that loved music and being on the lake fishing. He had many friends, including Gary and Dean that he built lifelong bonds with. They shared many laughs over the years. His humour and whit will be missed by all who knew him, and particularly by those that passed his patio at Bay Terrace.
Gordie always had time for a few words and chuckles and his reputation for helping his fellow tenants has left a huge vacancy in many hearts.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be confirmed.
