October 10th, 1953 – January 16th, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Esther Fair on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 at the age of 71 years. Survived by her children Paul Fair (Amethyst), Kathleen Colville, Rachel Redsky-Paypompee, and Junior Kenneth Redsky (Veronica). Nieces Paula and Rosetta Skead, and Thelma Fair. Nephews Venon Earl and Leslie Fair. Adored grandmother of Kyle, Craig, Michelle, Michele, Melissa, Chasity, Tyrone, Alex, Brandon, Paul, Grant, Aceford, Candy, Bonnie, Delaney, Datrene, and also great grandkids Caden, Raven, Oaklynn, Meadow, Tace, Creason, and so many other family members too numerous to mention. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and May Fair (Pinesse) and siblings Edith, Elsie and Alfred Fair. Aunties Evelyn Fair, nieces Pauline, Shelley, Priscillia, Tina, and Edie Fair. Grandsons Clifford and Stanford Fair, and other too many to mention. Esther enjoyed playing poker, gardening, having a cup of strong tea, helping lift nets, harvesting wild rice, and attending family fish fry’s. She also loved a game of croquet when family was together.

Wake Services will be held on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at 11am at Shoal Lake 40 Independent First Nation, Ontario at the Band Office.

A Traditional Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 24th, 2025 at 1pm at Shoal Lake 40 Independent First Nation, Ontario, The Traditional Service will be officiated by James Comegan. With burial to follow at Shoal Lake 40.
