She was predeceased by her son Tyrese Payash, sisters Hilary and Alicia Ashopenace, cousin Wesley Pahpasay, uncle Tony Ashopenace, aunt Marie Madeline Ashopenace and her grandparents Richard and Madeline Ashopenace.
She is survived by her parents Patricia Ashopenace and Benny Meeseewaypetung, her spouse Glen Kejick, her children Trinity Payash, Tishawn Payash, twins Honey and Halo Ashopenace and Furious Benguis. She will also be missed by her siblings Winston Foster (Cynthia), Katrina Ashopenace, Evan Ashopenace. She is also survived by aunts and uncles Sally Ashopenace, Rachel (Tyrone) Ashopenace, Archie Hyacinthe, Rosalee (Rodney) Bruce, Archie Ashopenace, Rosemary Ashopenace and Richard Ashopenace Jr., granddaughter Champion whom she adored dearly. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives too numerous to mention.
She enjoyed watching comedies, her time at Pow-wow’s with Glen, she also enjoyed cooking for her family and really enjoyed lending a helping hand when others needed a babysitter, she loved spending time with friends and keeping up with her social media (Facebook), she also enjoyed listening to her favorite heavy metal music as well.
Wake service will begin on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Minnow Say Win Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Minnow Say Win Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation with Elders Archie Hyacinthe and Howard Copenace officiating. Burial will follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
