Floyd Barkman

November 5, 1960 – April 29, 2026

Floyd Barkman, a resident of Kenora, Ontario, he was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario and

passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in Kenora, Ontario.

He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Barkman, parents Daniel and Irene Barkman, sisters Gloria Barkman, Wendy Sanderson, Gloria P. Barkman, brother Peter J. Barkman and nephew Nolan Danielson.

He is survived by his sister Linda Barkman, daughter Madison Barkman, sons Nicholas and Matthew Barkman, stepsons Joey and Aaron Cook, grandchildren Grey Cook, Raelyn Fobister, Juliana Cook and Alexis Cook, as well as many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren whether it was chilling or going for walks, he also loved watching sports, he always listened to his favourite Rock-n-Roll songs, was a devote Christian, loved being busy and was an overall kind and loving person, who when necessary was very straight forward.

Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Kenora, ON, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Kenora, ON, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 1:00 with Pastor Robert Wittmeier officiating, interment will follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
