With her family by her side, Hattie passed away on November 2, 2010 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital at the age of 74 years.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Nick, her son Ron, wife Dawn and granddaughters Amanda and Amy. She leaves behind sister Katie Glowa, sister Jean Romanyk, brother Steve (wife Bunty), brother Billy (wife Pat), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hattie was predeceased by her parents Ben Leshewicz and Mary Puhacz, sons Myron (infant) and Allan, brothers and sisters Mike, Ann Shyiak, Tom, Fred, Pat Hanson and Irene Duchominsky.

Hattie was born in Alonsa, Manitoba. She worked in Portage before her marriage to Nicholas. They loved their honeymoon location so much that they moved to Kenora after a couple of years in Manitoba. Kenora was home and Hattie and Nick enjoyed the countless visits of family and friends as well as the fellowship of bowling, church and hall members.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Kenora, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Kenora.
