Mr. James Price Wilcox
(April 24,1932 - October 23, 2011)
With deep sadness and heavy hearts, James’ family wishes to announce his passing on October 23, 2011 at Pinecrest Home for the Aged.
James was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, moving with his family to Kenora in 1950.
James was predeceased by his wife Flo of 28 years and father Henry and mother Ellen.
He leaves to mourn his sons Larry (Arleen), Ken, Al (Nancy) and Brent (Fran), also step daughters Shelly Kohut (Tom) and Mona Stone (Chris); grandchildren Stephen, Shawn, Lyndsay, Rachelle, Adam, Travis, Tim, Amber, Fernando Filipuzzi, Rylan, Ronald Stone, Shannon Jonasson, Jennifer and Edward Wilson, Robyn and Charlotte McDonald; great grandchildren Riley, Jaelyn, Junior Stone, Darrell, Jonathon and Dalton Jonasson.
James is also survived by his brothers Doug (Martha), Bob (Bev) and sisters Pauline Switzer (Larry) and Margaret Stevenson, also numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Jim worked for the CPR as a brakeman from 1951 to 1958. He worked for Vacationland Dairy from 1958 to 1979, he had also worked for Bestway Rentals.
Jim was active as an umpire when the boys played baseball and he also coached hockey. He loved to go fishing and hunting with family and friends, he was an active member at the Kenora Legion where he loved to play darts.
His special pets were Peerie and Brandi.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Nursing Home with Pastor Robert Wittmeier officiating with luncheon to follow.
