John Elders

Suddenly on April 3, 2020 John Arthur Elders passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was born Jul y5, 1957 and lived in Kenora.

John was predeceased by his parents John and Alberta Elders.

He Leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Gail and his two sons Matt (Tara) and Mike, his sister Marilyn (Fred) Smith and nephews Jon (Jenelle) and Greg, as well as his fury companions Buddy and Rocky.

I would like to thank Dr. Watson, Dr. Silverburg Lori, Ellen and the of the team at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Dialysis. I would also like to thank the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Doctor’s and especially the 2nd Floor Nurses.

I would also like to thank Allan and Sheila Luby and all the Luby teammates, you guys are the best! I would like to thank all the people who sent food and cards.

At John’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

God saw you getting tired,

A cure was not to be.

He wrapped you in His loving arms

And whispered, “Come with Me.”

You suffered much in silence,

Your spirit did not bend.

You faced your pain with courage

Until the very end.

So when we saw you sleeping

So peaceful, free from pain

We could not wish you back

To suffer that again.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Two gentle hands at rest.

God broke our hearts

To prove to us that

He only takes the best.
