Joseph Boyd Sr.

September 20, 2020 - July 18, 1947

With heavy hearts we announce on Sunday September 20, 2020 Jo passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Jo was the rock within our family a true tribe leader of the Body family. Jo was a true family man always put family first. He spent most of his life providing for his family working hard. He was a precious blessing in our lives, but his main focus was always with his family, Choo loved his children, grand/great children & family very much.

He loved going for car rides and drinking tea with family members and reminiscing about the old days in his golden life. He so loved the family gathering, in the past he loved working as beach comber (hydro) always telling jokes with his old buddies and playing pranks on one other and also tree planting. He always would say "see those tress where I planted those and then tell stories bout his working days". Choo was a quite humble man never had a mean thing to say bout anyone. He had a one true love in his life, Shirley Boyd together at last.

He is survived by and leaves to mourn his children: Reggie (Loryn) Linda, Terry, Judy (Brandon), Berina (Jonathan), Valerie (Eugen), Joseph Jr (Bertha), Jake, Baby Charlie, James (Christine) who he raised since infancy. Brothers: Eddie McDonald, Gabriel & Cory Boyd. Sister: Collen Boyd. Grandchildren: Ramsey (Tubby), lil Reggie Jr, Sandy, Faye (Jeff), Carmen, Raymond, Peter, Maria, Farrah, Ryan, Norman, Bianca, Belinda, Margaret, Tara Jo, Marissa, Evaleen, Muriel, Alexander, Michelle, Brandice, Brandy, Trina, Trevor, Drake, Reshay, Nichol, Melissa (Shawn Fraser), Brittany, Stanley, Destiny, Keenan, Harmany, India, Brielle, Treyton, Toya, Nathan, Cody. Tyler & Lian & Kwen & Ryan Cameron. Great- grandchildren: Cherish, Mazery, Raydence, Ray Jr, Ellora, Liam, Shaylee, Brysen, Blake, Dallas, Gracie, Paydon, Chayce, Aubree, Jenna, Farika, Jamien, Wyatt, Lierah, Abbey, Zariah, Karson, Keianna, Lulah, Malakai, Braedy, Aryah, Emry, Maci, Silver, Darby, Haylo, Allariah, Lovelee & Jermoe, Kingzly Scott many more too numerous to mention. Common law: Sherry Fisher. Nieces & Nephews: Edna Cameron, Jenette, Leona, Wanda, Barry Boyd, Trisha, Tamera, Travis Muckle. Other Family members who he loved dearly: Ray, Stanley, Richard, Roger, Debbie, Oliver, Clarence Wawence, Jimmy, Murphy Kakekagumic, Too Tum, Veronica, Tamela Boyd, George Boyd and many more too numerous to mention.

He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Boyd, parents: Larry Boyd & Una Wawance. Children Wayne & Larry Boyd. Grandchildren: Desmond, Darcy, Chasity Boyd, Jerald McDonald. Uncle: John Robert Boyd Sr. Aunties: Harriette Boyd, Emma Wawence, Celia Kakekagumic. Cousins: Jon Robert Jr, Kenneth (Peanut) Wawance, Molly, Marie, Bella, Lorrain, Bert, Robert Boyd, Sara McDonald. Brothers: Tommy Boyd. Many close friends too many to mention.

A Wake Service will take place at the Family Residence on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. and also on Saturday, September 26 and 27 at the Whitedog School Gym, starting at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will take a place at the Whitedog on Monday, September 28, 2020 10:00 a.m.
