Judith Smith

Nov. 20, 1941 – July 24, 2025

Peacefully July 24, 2025 Judy passed over unto the Kingdom of God where she was reunited with her husband Bryan, parents Lorne and Iris Favreau, siblings Gary, Lorna, Janice, Donald and Pamela. Also Fred and Vivian Smith, Paul Leroux, Fred Sinclair, Gary Russel, Cheryl Favreau, Michael Mann and Charlotte Smith.

Mourning her loss are her children Fred (Marilyn) Smith, Cathy (Rod) Ficek, Lisa (Sandy) Wall, Craig (Kim) Smith, her grandchildren, Jon (Jenelle), Greg (Jennifer) Shea, Josh (Ashley), Tess (Scott) Jake, Haley (Travis), McKenzie, Cody, Zach, her 15 great grandchildren and siblings, Delores Leroux, Margo (Randi) Cederwall, Harry, Michael (Nancy), Barb and Trudy Favreau.

Born and raised in Kenora, Judy received her nursing degree in Fisher Branch, Manitoba where she met, fell in love and married her husband Bryan of 57 years, they settled in Kenora and started her career at the LWDH, with her calm disposition, compassionate nature and warm smile she soon excelled at her chosen profession.

After she retired from nursing, they moved to Vancouver Island where they enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Following her husband’s death, she moved back to Kenora where she finished her journey at Pinecrest Home.

Our sincere Thank You goes out to Dr. Thomas, Janet, Unit one staff and all who cared for Judy during her stay at Pinecrest.

Funeral Services will be held at Notre Dame Church Sept. 20, 2025 @ 11:00 am.
