

Ken was predeceased by his father William Currie Ogden, sister Linda McCallum and brother Lester Ogden.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Ogden of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, brother Len and his wife Mary of Grassy Narrows, Ontario, niece Denise Ogden of Thunder Bay, Ontario, nephews Clayton, Derek and Travis of Kenora, Ontario, sister Laura Ogden Goetz and husband Mark Goetz of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, brother in law Don McCallum of Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, nephew Brennon McCallum of Edmonton, Alberta and Justin McCallum of Cut Knife, Saskatchewan and many other relatives and friends too many to mention.
Ken came to Northwestern Ontario, for a visit and fell in love with the area. Found work as a dock hand at Dog Tooth Resort and that resulted in his staying in Kenora. He had numerous jobs and fell in love with the food industry, he worked at Canyon Lake Lodge, Birch Island Resort, spent 1 summer as a Chef trainee at he hotel in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, he then worked as a cook at the Kenwood Hotel and Michael's restaurants in Kenora, Ontario. He eventually joined Safeway in the Bake shop where he became the Bakery Manager (Kenora). After that he then took work as a Chef at Seven Generations Institution in Kenora, Ontario where he continued to work until he became ill.
Ken enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and spent many hours walking his dog on the numerous trails in and around the Kenora Area. He also enjoyed riding his Harley with Ian, BBQ's and his famous Caeser's on his deck will be much missed by many. He followed the Montreal Canadiens and always texted his good friend Wayne whenever they were playing the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was also a huge fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
A huge Thank you to the following: Ambulance personnel, Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre, all of the Doctors and nurses associated with Ken's care at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario. Cory and staff at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Paul and Justin at Investor's Group, and most of all Ken's extended family at 7 Generations Institution, most notable Mr. Mark Duggan, Chef Nicky and longtime friend Duncan, and for those not mentioned you are not forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations to support local animal charities would be greatly appreciated by the family to remember Ken's love of animals or to a charity of one's choice.
A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service will be held at the Seven Generations Education Institute on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00am.
Covid restrictions will apply masks are mandatory, proof of double vaccination and photo identification is required to attend.
