Marguerite Helen Jean Brennan

Marguerite was born in Roland, Manitoba November 6, 1923 to Robert and Grace Chanin.

Mom met Dad in Winnipeg when he came back from the war were she worked at the CIBC Bank and they moved to Kenora in 1949 to open Brennan's Jewellers which they ran for 36 Years. Mom enjoyed a long and healthy retirement at their home in Florida and Kenora. They travelled extensively around the world. Mom gave a lot to community, friends and family. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, her Bridge Club, volunteering at the hospital gift shop. Mom was an accomplished artist/painter and loved to play the piano.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Albert in 2008, infant sister Lorraine, brother Lorne and sister in law Irene Chanin.

She is survived by her Daughter Bonnie (Tom) and their family Josh (Kelley), Ben, Noah, Chad (Amel), Rhonan, Chelsea (Mike), Tyler. Her Daughter Jill (Bill) and their family Erin (Chuck), Samuelle, Grayson, Meggie, Danny (Deanna). Her Son Dean (Judi) and their family Amanda (Grant), Declan, Haddie, Sean, Courtney (Nick), and her brother Glen (Arlene) and special friend Lilian Kozie.

Mom spent the last 71/2 Years with Pinecrest as her home. She enjoyed every day she was there and her extended family was the staff and residents. Our family takes great comfort in that the care for her was exceptional and special thanks to all the staff.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Pinecrest Home for the Aged on April 26, 2018 at 1:30pm with Pastor Robert Wittmeier officiating with a light lunch to follow.
