Marie Esther Bunn, a resident of Washagamis Bay, Ontario, passed away July 22, 2018 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

She was born July 1, 1938 at Washagamis Bay, Ontario.

Marie is survived by her husband Langford Bunn, son Bernard Sinclair, grandchildren Crystal (Murray), Debbie, Stewart, Amber (Derek), great grandchildren Elliot, Joley, Sunny, Suneetha, Crysun, Aurelius, Rocklin, her sisters Joan (Mervin), Linda (John), brother Marvin (Roxanne) and many more relatives, too many to mention.

She was predeceased by her mom Mary and father Joseph, her son Fabian, sisters Louise, Rosalie, Grace and brothers Edgar, Richard and Alfred.

Marie worked as a CHR for many years in the community, she enjoyed the outdoors, and activities such as fishing, rice picking, blueberry picking, trapping, camping and gardening. She has a big heart and helped out many people. She always had a pot of tea on and made people feel welcome in her home. She was a Christian and loved reading her bible and attended Church of Christ for many years.

She was very close with her sister Rosalie, spending hours speaking Ojibway together on the phone, she enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her friends and family. She was young at heart and worked very hard.

Wake Services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Washagamis Band Office.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Washagamis Band Office with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating and interment to follow.
