It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marjorie Rae Devins (Blight) with her family by her side. Marjorie took her last breath January 17, 2020 at the age of 82.
She is survived by her loving son Jack, daughter in law Nancy, granddaughters Meghan (Tim) & Kiara (Jake) and her pride and joy her great grandchildren, Avery, Claire & Ashur.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Ed and her parents Marcus and Nellie Blight.
She enjoyed life well. Her uniqueness was different and one of a kind. Her charm and smile would enlighten any given moment, just like her love for her family. She really enjoyed spending time with her family, especially tv bingo nights with her girls Meghan & Kiara.
She will be sadly missed by many.
As per Marjorie’s request there will be no service, there will be a family gathering at a later date.
Love you Mom
Love you Grandma
Love you Great Grandma
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the second east of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. We would like to thank Dr. Retson for her concern and taking control of and being there for our grandmother.
We are deeply appreciative for the care and concern we received from the staff while in hospice care in Pinecrest. Dr. Jim Beveridge Kenora Community Hospice at Pinecrest made our family feel so grateful to have so much support and so many staff like Maureen Kurtz and Theo Kunz to make our family feel at ease at this tragic time. This was a wonderful environment and peaceful area to share the remaining hours of our grandmas’ life.
The family would like to thank Cory and staff from Brown Funeral Home for being so professional and showing their compassion and concern and going far beyond your expectations for making our final arrangements as smooth as possible.
Our sincerest thanks to Pastor Daren Gallivan for being there for all our family.
Online condolences may be made at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com

LEGACY OF LOVE
A wife, a mother, a grandma too.
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight, you gave us strength, you gave us might
A stronger person would be hard to find.
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife, not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in Peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
