Merv was born in Kenora on May 13, 1936. He spent his younger years establishing the roots for his family in LacLu, where he and Judy raised their 3 kids. He resided in the home he hand built until his passing. Merv dedicated his entire career to the Kenora paper mill. During his spare time he enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle with his children and brother Larry. Some of the fondest memories he spoke of were the many hunting trips with Bill and the boys. He was a true handyman, never shying away from a challenge. He endeared himself to all who knew him, as he was always willing to lend a hand. Merv will be dearly missed.
Due to COVID-19, a private Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 with Pastor Cathy Giroux officiating.
