Norma Ellen Marie Michaluk

October 29, 1960September 23, 2019

Norma Ellen Marie (Hertz) Michaluk October 29, 1960 - September 23, 2019

On September 23rd Norma went to join her loving family, including her beautiful son Evan, her parents Doris and Robert, her sister Linda, her aunty Dot, mother and father in Law Barbara and Victor Michaluk and many other family and friends.

Those of us who will remain and tell her story are her husband Darryl, son and daughter-in-law Nathan and Nathalie, brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Ursula, brother-in-law Billy, sister-in-law Karen Wallace (Ronn Wallace), brother-in-law Lionel Michaluk (Benoit Quenneville), along with: nieces and nephews: Rodney Hall, Grant Hall (Robyn), Mathew Wallace, Kimberley Brady (Travis): great nieces and nephews: Tieryn Hall, Declyn Hall, Liam Wallace, Aiden Brady.

Cousins: Dolores, Estelle, Sylvia, Carla, Leanne, Brian, Joe, Greg, Leo, Tom, Paul, Bobby, Walter, Gary, Norma Jean and so many other relatives and close friends.

Norma loved and cherished her two beautiful boys, her family, her extended family, her friends and her animals, her plants and laughing.

Norma accomplished so many things in her life that we sometimes forget: Red Cross homecare worker, she worked in and around the pet store, greenhouse worker, trained dogs, received her heavy equipment operators license and so many other projects that are too numerous to mention.

Norma had the special talent of being there when people needed her, no questions asked. She helped out friends, relatives, strangers with not wanting anything in return, just to know that they were better than when she got there.

Being a mother was the first and for most important job to Norma. Her boys were her world. She invested all of her time, love, support, and knowledge ensuring that her family was well prepared for all of the adventures ahead. Norma encouraged her boys to follow their dreams and to take on any challenge that they may face.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at Pope John Paul II School Auditorium from 1pm til 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Confederation College Paramedic Program for the Evan Michaluk Memorial Bursary.

Online condolences may be made at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com

Norma Ellen Marie Michaluk

have a memory or condolence to add?

Terry, Barbara, Julia & Joanne Hiley

October 2, 2019

The Hiley family would like to share their very warm and fond memories of a lady who welcomed her distant relatives into her family and home with an open heart, and open arms. Norma spent many nights sitting round the kitchen table speaking fondly about the family she held so dearly - those near and far, those still with us and those departed from this world.
Norma’s ability to make us feel loved and cherished will always be carried in our hearts.
You will be so missed, Norma. Rest peacefully.

I will remember Norma as the little sister I never had. It goes back 50 years when I had a pony called Rebel and Norma as a little girl would spend time at the barn helping me brush Rebel and ask questions...a lot of questions...always eager to learn and hear what I said. We kept in touch over the years and shared a special bond. I will remember Norma as a loving and caring person. I will miss her.

My memories of Norma will always be of a sweet, stubborn, kind and generous, pint-sized friend. Her days at the pet store and the dog show circuit are among my fondest memories. Norma and Darryl added laughter and fun and an incredible willingness to lend her Honda Civic (back in the late 80’s - to a newly licensed driver!) was so appreciated. Norma and Trixie went hand in hand back then - both shivering their way through winter! She had a heart of gold, and those are the hardest to fix.
