Norma Williams a band member of lskatewizaagegan #39 (shoal Lake) age 66 passed away Sept 9, she was born to the late Frankie and Maggie Redsky on March 17, 1953.
Norma was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Redsky 1971, her son Wesley Williams 2017, her greatgrandchildren the twins 2008, her sister Shirley 2013 and brother Richard Redsky. And many other family members that have gone on.
She is survived by her longtime companion Hank Williams for 48 years of togetherness, her daughters Selena, Melissa, and her son Ivan, and her most charitable grandchildren Angel, Destiny, Laura, Shalene, Cheyenne, Nora, Kaylee, Kentaro, Sonja, Jonathon James, Amber Elizabeth. Great -grandchildren she really loved and cherished, Kaylee, Alena, Blaine, Malcolm, Collin, Cheyanne, Mark, Patrice. And her sisters Laura, Nancy, and her brothers Ronnie, Gordie, Wayne, Donnie, and Marvin and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Norma enjoyed her family life she was a loving person any person that walked into her home she made sure they eat or have coffee or tea, she had a good heart, and a good hospitality. Her home was a welcoming home for whoever walked in. Norma loved cooking and baking, Norma loved to host and entertain and frequently had dinners at her house and people would come to eat, she had a little cafe for people that had low income and were less fortunate. She also enjoyed going out places especially going to fellowship with other people this was her passion. She had lots of friends and Christian friends and she enjoyed being with them. She put others first before herself this was her heart felt compass on.
Norma worked so hard in her life while she was well and even to the end, her sickness did not stop her she did her laundry, dishes, washed floors, cooked and baked. She went to help others as well.
Norma will be sadly missed by her loving husband Hank and to her loving family and those who were so dearly close to her. Your sudden departure sure shocked every person that ever embraced you.
Norma had a very favorite scripture she always quoted, Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon, me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure.
Norma would like to thank those that were involved while she was sick, her home care worker Lorraine Johnson, nurses and Dr. at the hospital. With her gratitude.
Wake service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Shoal Lake Community Hall. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Robert Wittmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Shoal Lake First Nation.
