Born Oct.14, 1956 – passed Friday April 6, 2018
Patricia was born and raised in Pellatt, ON until she met and married her husband in 1977. After her marriage she settled and resettled around western Canada with her husband Fred and family for his work before returning to the Kenora area in 1994.
Pat is predeceased by her Grandmother, Fanny Robinson, Grandfather John Robinson and mother and father in-law Gertrude and Otto Moeller. She leaves to mourn, the love of her life and husband of 40 years Fred Moeller, her children Cassandra, Christian and Jem and parents Linda and Glenn Iriam. Also left are her brothers Lyle (Deb) and Roy (Diane) Iriam, Sister In-law Inga Ciarciaglini, brothers in law Herb (Annette) Moeller, and Burck (Barb) Moeller and many treasured nieces and nephews. Additionally there were many friends she loved like family and close dear friends as well.
Pat was an extremely caring person and was respected as a leader in many roles and hats over the years. She was instrumental in the setup and running of the Pellatt Community Centre as well as a committed member of the PUFF Emergency First Responders team through which she became a certified teacher with St. John’s Ambulance as well as board members for both PUFF and St. John’s Ambulance. Pat also volunteered at many events and charities through the years, far too many to list. Pat was a proud member Order of the Eastern Star, Wenonah Chapter 18. She was also a fully engaged member of her communities; often know to be the first to offer help and assistance and calling to check on people or visiting those who were ill or injured. She tended her flock and tried to ensure everyone knew their importance and value.
Pat finished her working career as a Manager at the Royal Bank Kenora, a job she loved and a team she adored. To her great sadness it ultimately became too much to continue in the face of mounting life limiting disabilities and she was forced to remain off work.
Pat faced many physical and medical adversities in her life, at times seemingly it was one challenge after another yet she never let these challenges stop her. Sometimes they slowed her down or didn’t allow her to give or participate to her hearts true desire but she always found a way for her to play a part to her fullest abilities. She was a true example of living life to the fullest right up to her very last days. Thank you from the bottoms of our family’s broken hearts to all those who help care and love for Pat spiritually, and physically, especially in these last most challenging battles she faced. Your love; compassion and generosity did not go unnoticed by her or her family. Your caring and gestures are a balm to sooth the pain and heartbreak we feel at her loss.
At the family’s request, please no flowers. In lieu contributions to the PUFF Endowment Fund Att: Nick Vander Zande or the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation Box 441, Kenora, Ontario P9N 3X4 or the Cancer Society would be heartily appreciated.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday April 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Pellatt Community Centre, Hwy 641 Lac Lu.
