In Loving Memory

Pauline Behrsin (Nee Gille) June 22, 1919 - June 27, 2011

Very peacefully Pauline Behrsin (nee Gille), a resident of Pinecrest Home for the Aged, passed away on June 27, 2011 at the age of 92.

She is survived by her children: Harold (Deborah), Kenneth (Cindy), Victor (Linda), Charlie (Marilyn), Phyllis and Beverly (Ron). Also she leaves her grandchildren: Sheryl-Anne, Cynthia-Lynne, Lori, Kendall, Debbie, Colleen, Trish, Carrie, Clinton, Joey, Lawrence and many, many great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, son Wally, sisters Elsie and Edith, brother Burt and parents Carl and Ida Gille.

Pauline was born in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba on June 22, 1919. She relocated to Kenora in the 1950’s when Alfred’s work brought them to the area. She continued to raise her six children while also caring for her parents. Pauline enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and collecting many brooches that she could be seen wearing every day.

She moved to Pinecrest Home for the Aged in 1993 where she found her spot at the front door to greet all visitors and staff as they entered.

There will be a private family celebration of life with burial to follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.

In honor of Pauline, donations to the Lake of the Woods Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

We've never met but I have heard so much about you and how wonderful of a mother, nana and friend you were to those who got the blessing of being your family as well as your friend. I wish I as well could've had the blessing of meeting you. You were a very strong woman and have impacted so many people's lives with your love. Just know that because of you those people can pass it on. You're at peace now and you will be greatly missed and always loved.

To the family of Pauline, I am sorry for your loss. Stay strong and know that she is now at peace and in a better place.

Love & hugs
