

December 3rd, 1941 – June 11th, 2010
In loving memory of Phil, who passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, June 11th. Phil was born and raised in Keewatin and Kenora, and lived here all his life. He worked for Texaco for many years, then for Derouard Motors, until his retirement in 2006.
Phil was predeceased by his wife Nadia, his mother Pat, and his father Wally. He will be forever missed by his brother Ed (Irene) White (Debbie, Cindy, Shelley & their families), his sister Patsy (Keith) Geisel (Justin & Kelsey); Aunts Grace Krewaz and Edna Meeres; also, his closest friends, Paul and Toddy Derouard, and his faithful cat Sam.
Phil loved to fish, play bingo, listen to ‘50’s music, and he dearly loved his vehicles, making sure they were always pristine. Some of his best times were spent fishing at Black Sturgeon and flying with Paul. His second home was Paul’s airplane hangar, where after retirement, he spent many hours working on various planes.
A Celebration of Phil’s life will be held beginning at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 17th at the hangar – 33 Beauty Bay Road. (Beauty Bay Golf Course Road, first road on the right – watch for the sign).
