Robert Jonathan Michael Speir

On November 13, 2023 our lives were changed forever when God called Mike home.

Mike was predeceased by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Speir, his siblings Matilda O'Brien, Sarah Raikes, and Richard Speir and his Nanny.

Left to mourn his passing are nieces, nephews and their families Peter O'Brien, John O' Brien, Rebecca O'Brien and Gillian Charleson, Emma MacKenzie, Victoria Henderson and Jo Raikes. Mike also leaves to grieve his passing Dale and Evelyn Hrabec, Rob & Karen (Kallee, Ryder), Dan & Jo (Reece, Spencer, Grayson), John & Bri, Dave & Whitney (Kairo), Chris, Larissa and Vincent. Mike also leaves behind many close friends.

Mike was born in Northallerton, England and moved when he was very young with his family to Scotland. As a young man Mike came to Canada.

Everyone who met Mike admired him for his kindness, his devotion and his sense of humour.

He will be missed immensely. In true Mike fashion Mike didn't want us to be sad but rather celebrate his life.

The friends and family of Mike would like to express their sincere gratitude to Lake of the Woods District Hospital for their kindness and caring support shown to Mike during his stay as well as Benedickson Court staff for all their help and support.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
