Rudy Roulston

March 12, 1935 - January 2, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rudy Roulston after a short battle with cancer on January 2, 2017.

Rudy leaves to mourn his daughters Bonny and Elaine (Paul Kaiser) brothers Allan, Gary (Tamara), Donny (Anna) sisters Irene (Harold Wilson), Doreen, Gail.

Rudy was predeceased by parents Mary and Leroy, son Eric, brothers Lorne (Annette) and Alvin (Dagney), sister-in-law Jackie and brother in law Dearl LaBelle.

Grandchildren Bernice, William, Susan (Andrew Rae), Michael, Melissa (Logan Galpin) and 6 great grandchildren.

Rudy was born in Lavallee, Ontario and eventually ended up in Kenora. In 1959, he received his trade certificate for Hoisting engineer and tower Crane operator. Dad worked for Edwards operating equipment building roads. He then went on to the pipeline and had many stories about life while working there. Then Dad decided he would go and cut wood in Ear falls where he called home for 20 years or more.

Dad was also a member of the international union of Operating Engineers for 50 years. Dad also spent a lot of time helping neighbors and friends with work, cutting wood on his property and just enjoying his retirement. He loved his house on the Essex Road, and he was a people person and always had time to stop and chat, and visit. He will be greatly missed.

As per Dads wishes, there will be no service.

There will be a private Graveside Service for family and close friends in the spring.
