Our beloved brother, whose transition to eternal life leaves an indelible mark, will be eternally cherished by countless hearts. He was profoundly admired across the community. With unassuming kindness, infectious joy, and unwavering willingness to serve, he embodied the very essence of compassion. His ardent passion for grass dancing and devotion to powwow life shone resplendently. As a devoted friend, brother, uncle, and father, he labored tirelessly, treasuring moments with loved ones and radiating boundless joy and laughter wherever life took him. Steve was perpetually eager to learn more about the traditional ways of life. He invested time at the blockade during the summer and participated in ceremonies whenever possible. Family and friends were the cornerstone of his life. He made a concerted effort to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Despite life's struggles, he stood resilient and walked in the path of righteousness. He leaves behind a legacy of numerous friends and family.
He will always be remembered by the community and everyone he has ever crossed paths with. We will all miss our little brother.
The family would like to thank Constable Jason Tong.
