Susan Mariette Dineen October 4, 1959 - March 20, 2020

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Susan on Friday March 20 at the age of 60 at her home in Kenora Ontario.

Susan was the beloved daughter of Mariette deMercado and the late Gerald M. Dineen. She was a cherished sister to Mary McIntyre (Bruce), Janice Bugby (Richard), Anne Dorion (Dale, deceased) and stepdaughter to John deMercado. Her niece Anne Van Dusen and nephews Peter McIntyre, Patrick Bugby and Matthew Bugby will always remember her fondly, as will her many cousins, Aunts and Uncles.

Her family would like to thank those who over the years interacted with Susan, know that we appreciate the love and compassion shown to her in her adopted hometown of Kenora, in particular Dr. Tim Wehner and the staff of the Morningstar Centre.

Susan left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She had an infectious laugh and smile. She was witty, outgoing, intelligent and loyal. Susan brought great joy to many. She had a particular affection for the very young, the elderly, and her treasured pets.

A Funeral Mass and Celebration of Susan’s special life will take place at a later date.

Those who wish may make a donation in Susan’s memory to the Morningstar Centre c/o The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation.

It really is hard to believe. So many of my good memories of Christie Lake include Sue. Now she's gone and all we have left are memories. My deepest sympathies to everyone who loved her.

Suzie was a fighter and fun. She loved Cecilia. Her puppy. And took care of her friend for twenty years. I sure will miss her
