I met Anthony 15 years ago when I became best friends with his cousin Kazy. At every family event, no matter the event or how long it had been since I had seen him, he always greeted me with the biggest hug and smile. He genuinely would ask how I was doing and how life was. Just in November I saw him at Aunt Jacques wedding, again he greeted me with the biggest hug and smile like I had just seen him days before. He introduced me to Marie as his cousin Elaina. I was the one who said I'm his cousin Kazy's best friend. He cut me off and said she's family. Thank you Anthony! Regardless of time, distance, situation, or circumstance you always made me feel like family. I will miss those hugs and smile at family events but I know I will see it again! Love you, cousin!

To my boy, bro, and brother a.k.a. Ant!
How many people thought we were brothers? Or that would come up to us smiling wanting to shake our hands, because we inspired them. Even a person we had just met, sensed our camaraderie and appreciated it! IRON SHARPENS IRON WAS OUR SAYING BETWEEN US . It fit us because we made it a fact, not just words that sounded good. I fed off you and you fed off me. We would reflect all the time on how far we had come!! We had so many jokes between us and laughed all the time. But, we had a friendship that could tell each other what we needed to hear, or understand, when things needed to get serious. But, then we would laugh, after all, in the same conversation.
We talked to each other everyday. Now, I will go through life and never be able to replace the bond we had!!! The quality of our friendship only happens once in a life time. We watched each other strive to reach our dreams. Best friend I will ever have!

My cousin, my buddy, my best friend.
Anthony, man you always knew how to make me laugh.

So many memories growing up, when we went to the same school, me as a 1st grader you in kindergarten. At recess you would call me over to talk through the gate and always leave with a high five or kiss through the gate.

We talked about everything, our 1st loves, you would ask me advice about why girls are so weird and you would always tell me that boys are dumb. Still questions we would ponder over.

You showed me how to eat corn with mayo and cheese at the harvest festival. You said “I will teach you how to be a real Mexican”. And we laughed so hard. It’s when I learned that when you talked about me, you would refer to me as “Kazy, your crazy cousin.” Crazy Kazy...that sure did stick.

As we got older our lives got more complicated but you would always be there for Christmas. Even if I didn’t hear from you I knew you would be there.

You always told me how proud of me you were. Your heart was pure gold and your laugh was one that I will never forget.

I love you so much and I will miss you until forever.

Can’t wait to hang out again.

Always thinking of others, even when he was down and out and it was someones birthday, Christmas, he would find a way to give a gift. His smile was precious and he had wonderful dreams. I remember him telling me that he wanted to live with his Mom for the rest of his life. How he wanted to always take care of her. I am thankful for the fact that he is with our Lord, I could say I'm a little envious, but I know that one day we will see each other again and he will have some great stories to share with me. Mijo, stay close to your Uncle Anthony and Papa. Your in good hands.
I love you Aunt Jacque.

I'm happy to have known you and have you in my life for as long as I did. You always had a smile on your face. You were so good to us and always made us laugh with your stories. Especially AJ who loved hearing your stories. You made him laugh all the time. You were always there for AJ and spent a lot of time with us that we will cherish forever. AJ loved his uncle Anthony so much. I will never forget all the laughs we had. You were always like a big brother to me and I love and miss you so much.

I remember when you sent this picture to Andrew and I loved it. This is one of my favorite pictures of you and AJ.

There I will always remember your sweet heart, your laugh and your smile. You had the ability to make a friend everywhere you went and most of the time did. I'm gonna miss seeing you pal around with little Juju ( he thinks you are the coolest). I remember you doing sweet little things like the time you gave him your old cell phone because he wanted a phone. It may have been such a small thing to you at the time but, it meant the world to him. You were always doing things like that. I'm so thankful that the last time we saw each other, I was able to tell you how proud I was of you and that I love you.
